Hi Everybody 🙂

For a long time, I’ve wanted to share with you some of my photographs of Ladakh, undoubtedly one of the most amazing and breathtakingly beautiful places in the world, located in India.

Words fail to describe the rare beauty of Ladakh so I’ll let my photographs guide you to each of its tourist destinations.

Today’s post is on one of the most spectacular creations of nature – Pangong Tso or Pangong Lake.

Pangong Tso, Ladakh

A bit on how to reach Ladakh…

Heavenly Ladakh, also called “Roof of the World” is located in the state of Jammu & Kashmir and can be reached by land through either of the two passes: Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh and the Zojila Pass in Jammu & Kashmir. There are regular air flights to Leh but it is advisable to go there by road in order to get acclimatized to the high-altitude region. Besides, the road journey offers a memorable experience.

A bit about Pangong Tso…

Situated at a height of 14270 feet (4350m), this picturesque 134 km long and 5 km wide lake is one of the largest salt water lakes in Asia. About one-third of this salt water lake lies in India while the rest is in Tibet. The incredibly beautiful lakeside is open for tourists from May to September. An Inner Line Permit is required for the visit as it lies on the India-China Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Now travel with me to Pangong through my photographs…

Pangong Tso is a five-hour drive from Leh, most of it on a rough and dramatic mountain road…
