The Republic of India is the second most populated country in the world and also the world’s largest democracy. It is comprised of twenty-nine states and seven union territories which are divided into six major zones: North India, Northeast India, East India, South India, West India and Central India.

And guess what? 🙂 … I have visited all twenty-nine states of Incredible India 🙂 Cool, huh? Thanks 🙂 Among the seven union territories – Delhi (National Capital Territory), Puducherry (Pondicherry), Chandigarh, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep Island, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli – I have visited the first four.

Open the below links to read my stories of each state. No link means that I have yet to post my story. It will happen soon, so keep visiting. 🙂

North India: Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Uttarakhand (Uttaranchal), Uttar Pradesh, and the union territories of Chandigarh and Delhi (National Capital Territory). New Delhi is the capital city of India.

Northeast India: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura

Eastern India: Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and the union territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Southern India: Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and the union territories of Lakshadweep and Puducherry (Pondicherry). Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka is known as the ‘Silicon Valley of India’ because it is India’s leading exporter in IT sector.

Western India:  Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and the union territories of Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Mumbai, the financial capital of India is the capital city of Maharashtra.

Central India: Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh
